CUMMING, Ga. — Norman's Landing recently raised $153,935 for the Georgia Pre-K and HOPE Scholarship programs this past year.

Funded by proceeds from the Georgia Lottery, the Pre-K Program prepares 4-year-olds for elementary school. More than half of the state's four-year-olds attend the program.

The HOPE Program created in 1993 under the supervision of Georgia Governor Zell Miller, is Georgia's scholarship and grant program. It rewards students with financial assistance in degree, diploma and certificate programs at eligible Georgia public and private colleges, universities and public technical colleges.

HOPE is funded entirely by revenue from the Georgia Lottery and is administered by the Georgia Student Finance Commission.
